The majority of us grew up believing that making money is hard, and that hard work is how we make more money.
I want to throw that belief in the trash.
The truth is that making money is very simple. It’s not always easy (especially when we are just learning to do it!) but it can be.
I personally have had a lot of resistance to having things be easy. And this experience of ease can be very unsettling.
Recently I had been coached on making money feeling “too easy”. I realized I was trying to come up with some rationale that didn’t exist. I earned the money. And it was easy.
And then I went to an NBA game – and what I saw gave me one of the biggest transformations I’ve had recently in my business.
What I saw were people who are at the top of their industry, who make millions of dollars. And they were smiling. That’s when I realized – they are playing a GAME.
Maybe this seems obvious? But to me it felt so profound. Here are people who are masters of their craft, which is playing a game. They get paid millions of dollars to play a game they enjoy.
